1.PVR (Personal Video Recording)
Direct Recording: Record the channel that you are watching and make a collection of your favourite shows.
Timer Set Recording: Record your favourite show even if you are away from your home.Just leave your SmartBox 'ON' . You don’t need the TV to be 'ON'
Background recording: You can record one channel and watch another at a same time so that you wont miss any of your favourite shows.
(E.g: There is English Premier League match on ESPN but you don’t want to miss the wrestling match on Ten sports. You can simply record the wrestling match to watch later and still enjoy the Football match on ESPN)
Pause Play : You can pause live TV if you are interrupted and resume from the same spot.
(E.g: You get an important call while watchnig a thrilling movie.You can pause your live TV and resume from where you paused)
Note: External Storage Device is required to operate PVR functions in Smart Box.
2. HD Ready
SMT boxes are HD(High Definition) enabled and when Dish Home Launches HD channels the customers do not need to change the Box to receive the HD channels.
3.Media Player
Dish Home Smart Boxes have USB port which can be used to watch Movies/Pictures, listen to Songs. You need to have a USB pen drive with Movies, Songs and Pictures in it.
4.Balance Inquiry
Customer with Dish Home Smart Box can view their signal cut off Date, Recharge Balance and package information in their TV screen by simply pressing CAS button in their remote.
