Dish Home has roped in Nepali Cricket Captain Paras Khadka as brand ambassador for ICC Cricket World Cup and IPL promotions. The all-rounder is partnering with Dish Home for the promotion of High Definition television channels that the company has launched in Nepal. Dish Home has added Star Sports HD 1 and Star Sports HD 2 in its channel lineup to let its customers watch ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in High Definition. According to the company, these HD channels are exclusively available in Dish Home and no other service provider provides these channels. The company has now a wide range of Sports Channels in High Definition with Star Sports HD 1, Star Sports HD 2, Sony Six HD and Ten HD. Sports lovers can now get crystal clear HD picture suitable for new generation LCD/LED television through Dish Home only. The other HD channels include HBO HD, Colors HD and Discovery HD world. The company is going to add more premium HD contents and the press release says that the company will offer more than 15 HD channels in near future.
Dish Home has said that customers do not need to pay extra for Star Sports HD 1 and Star Sports HD 2 and will be available permanently in HD packages. Customers who want to watch these HD channels can contact Dish Home customer support to upgrade to HD packages.
Dish Home has also launched a new consumer scheme in the market titled “Dish Home Cricket All-Rounder Offer”. Under this scheme, customers who purchase High Definition connection will get discount of Rs 2000 and can get the connection for only Rs 3999 instead of previous MRP of Rs 5999. Similarly Customers who purchase Standard Definition connection will get discount of Rs 500 and have to pay Rs 3499 instead of Rs 3999. The scheme has come into effect from 13th February 2014 and is for a limited period of time. Similarly a Facebook contest has also been launched in which Dish Home fans can participate and win cricket souvenirs signed by Paras Khadka. One lucky winner will also get a change to have lunch/dinner with the all-rounder.
